Women In Film: Our Palm Springs Chapter is very active and successful! We launched our
"Broken Glass Awards", which first took place on November 7, 2008 at the Hyatt Grand
Champions honoring Gena Rowlands, Rozene Supple, Donna Mills and Jennifer and Suzanne
Todd of TEAM TODD (Producers; Alice In Wonderland, etc). Our second annual Broken
Glass Awards ceremony took place on March 6, 2010 at the La Quinta Resort to honor four
extraordinary women who have smashed through the glass ceiling, paving the way for others
in the entertainment industry and the arts; Barbara Sinatra, Lindsay Wagner, Gale Anne Hurd
and Denise DuBarry Hay. Honorees for our Third Broken Glass Awards held Friday March 4,
2011 were Suzanne dePasse, Jacqueline Bisset, Della Reese, Helene Galen and Gloria
Greer. Our 2012 Broken Glass Honorees were Kim Waltrip (Producer; Hit and Run), Barbara
Keller, Shirley Jones, Raquel Welch and Jennifer Yuh Nelson! And earlier this year, we
presented Broken Glass Awards to Mary Hart, Alfre Woodard, Ruta Lee and Lisa Houston!
Cathy Teal www.firebrand-design.com and I publish the profitable Tribute Journals
for this event. Cathy does the design and production and I do the telling and selling
until the last minute. We both write and edit. Cathy has a classic masters' eye for
art, photography and typography and I have GREAT lists and assertive, energetic
passion for the gig. Lots of experience between the two of us and we love what we
do! Cathy had to add forms up until the deadline! Meaning, we were very successful
in selling lots of ads! Let us show you our portfolios and give you a complimentary
consultation for your special event or charity gala. We can promise you a profit
center with the magazine/tribute journal/programme that we publish for you!

Palm Springs Life ~ California's Prestige Magazine I was hired to solicit new business;
built territory from zero to $500K. I was responsible for selling print advertising into the Desert’

Launched Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre at Antigua, his drug and alcohol
rehabilitation facility in the West Indies. Coordinated publicity; booked Today Show, 60
Minutes, Time Magazine, and dozens of newspapers, magazines and local TV interviews.
Goal was to attempt to influence the press members to focus on Mr. Clapton's sincere interest
in providing a safe haven for those needing to restart their lives; not on his "Rock-God-ness"!

Truth and Passion . . .
. . . have been my buzzwords for over twenty years.
I’m a straight-shooter with experience, skills and contacts.
I'll assess the reality of your situation and then carefully design a plan to promote,
advertise and propel your business, product or service to the next level. I’ll
accurately explain how PR works, and doesn’t work. I focus on long-term goals and
write powerful action plans, encompassing big picture vision, and believe public
relations strategies should also consider sales expectations, in addition to creating
industry and consumer buzz. I'll also look at:
How good, effective, necessary is it?
2) The market. Do current trends indicate that what
you have is needed by the target group?
3) How effective is your marketer? That’s me -
Wisdom based on Experience +
Integrity and Common Sense +
